The regime announces a "patriotic give away" for April 19 that will reach TEN million of Venezuelan families. The problem(s)? There are probably not 10 million families left in Venezuela. The give away is ridiculous.https://t.co/NqKTh37107

Once we take out all those forced to emigrate (3? 4? millions) and the ones from the opposition (like this writer) that are denied access to the "fatherland card" that leaves, say, 20+ million folks. Or 10 million families of 2-3 people average. Statistical possibility? Not.

The beauty of this demagoguery is that since January we have gone from 4 in December, to 8 in January and now 10 million "homes". I suppose that by election day we will all be single person family units.

But in the end it doesn't matter. The give away is 1 million bolivares. At current REAL exchange rate, not the official one that nobody has access to except corrupt officials, that million is equal to three bucks, 3 fucking US dollars to be split among all members of the family.

In the end those 3 bucks will buy you 4 to 8 loaves of bread depending on where and what brand. That is, if you can find the bread.

For info: my own fruit and vegetable bill to cover this week was 1.3 million. For me, one single person, and still in need to buy lettuce.
