— #PJMedia (@PJMedia_com) February 10, 2017
...When it comes to the activities of George Soros, however, much is known. Soros is a man of the deep Left whose campaign to destabilize the U.S. is powerful and pervasive. Should he be allowed to operate freely, he will continue to wreak enormous damage, aided by a large constituency composed in part and at various removes of the individuals and groups he has subsidized. There is no doubt about the extent of his interference in domestic affairs. And there is no doubt that something needs to be done about it, certainly before his likeminded son Alex inherits his empire and persists in advancing the father’s regime-change and conflict-creation agenda....
Although the Schengen Agreement has proven disastrous for Europe, as terrorists and “fakefugees” (Selwyn Duke’s phrase) travel freely across its territory, Soros wants the same disintegrative effect to develop in the U.S. When he goes on to state that “the main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States,” his intention to sow discord and weaken the nation he detests is amply clear.
This is why he is so virulently antagonistic to Donald Trump, who wants to make America great again and disassemble Obama’s regulatory nightmare. (There is little question that Soros was behind the violent disruptions of Trump’s political rallies.) ...
Global Research, itself an anti-American site, has revealed the range of Soros’ machinations, using his fortune “to topple governments in Serbia, Georgia, Ukraine, and Kyrgyzstan. He ‘broke’ the British pound in 1992 costing the taxpayer billions for personal profit, was accused of wreaking havoc on the Malaysian ringgit, and was called an ‘economic war criminal’ in Thailand.” Some countries have decided they have had enough of Soros’ operations. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is moving to extrude Soros and “the forces symbolized by him” from the nation. A mass movement in Macedonia seeks to do the same....

...All the doctor’s tricks were failing him. He’d tried neck massage, pressure to the eyes, ice on the face. But an hour in, Ashish Jha still couldn’t slow his racing heart. His wife asked what he’d recommend if a patient called with the same problem. “I said, ‘Oh, that’s easy.’ Go to the emergency department.” As a physician, Jha knew that this tachycardia could lead to a heart attack. Yet he felt caught by a decision he’d made in enrolling his family in a high-deductible insurance plan. Such plans, which offer lower premiums in exchange for higher out-of-pocket expenses, are an increasingly common type of coverage for millions of Americans. The Harvard University health-policy researcher had chosen his — with its $6,000 deductible — as a kind of personal experiment in better understanding how that trade-off influences health. And now, when faced with the prospect of paying thousands of dollars for an emergency-room visit, Jha stayed home. “I should have gone to the hospital,” he said recently. But “I knew there was a big bill waiting for me if I did, and I rolled the dice.”...

"We're careening, literally, toward a constitutional crisis," Sen. Richard Blumenthal said on CNN Thursday morning....
Thursday wasn't the first time Blumenthal has seen a constitutional crisis on the way in the new Trump administration.
"We are careening toward a constitutional crisis," he said on Jan. 31.
"We are careening toward a constitutional crisis," he said on Feb. 1.
"Our nation is careening toward a constitutional crisis," he said on Feb. 8.
And now, "We're careening, literally, toward a constitutional crisis."
At various times, Blumenthal has been upset by Trump's national security executive order, his firing of Obama holdover Justice Department official Sally Yates, and now, his comments about Blumenthal himself.
The senator is entitled to define "constitutional crisis" as he wishes, but consider one thing. So far, the Trump has been ordered to do something by a federal judge exactly once. And the administration did what the judge told it to do....

"We will render our statements to you monthly. For the initial three-month phase of our engagement, we have agreed to charge the Legislature a fixed fee of $25,000 per month," the agreement between Covington & Burling Law Firm, where Holder now works, and the California Legislature states. "This fee will include a maximum of 40 attorney or advisor hours per month."
Holder was hired by Democrat lawmakers in the state late last year to provide "legal strategies regarding potential actions of the federal government that may be of concern to the State of California." The agreement specifically mentions immigration and healthcare as areas of focus.
“The new records show California state legislators are wasting tax dollars to bankroll another corrupt politician – Eric Holder – under the pretense of attacking the Trump administration,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton released in a statement. “This expensive contract is crony corruption pure and simple. The swamp of public corruption has taken over California.”

Message from The National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) re: The Confirmation of Betsy DeVos, Secretary of Education
The vote to confirm the President's choice to be Secretary of Education will be extremely tight.
President Donald Trump has nominated Betsy DeVos to be America's next Secretary of Education.
DeVos is a proven education reformer and chair of the American Federation for Children. She has spent a lifetime working on behalf of parents, students and teachers to improve our nation's education system.
As an unflinching champion of charter schools and vouchers for underprivileged children, Betsy DeVos is the perfect catalyst to bring much-needed change to America's education system.
On January 8, NFRW President Carrie Almond endorsed DeVos's nomination, noting the NFRW's long-standing commitment to improving education and literacy rates for our nation's children and long-standing support for accountability, flexibility, local control and choice in education.
Your Senators need to hear from you today...
There has been a fierce backlash against DeVos from the left, and especially the teacher's unions.
The Senate is set to vote on Devos's nomination on Tuesday, and the vote is expected to be so close Vice President Mike Pence may have to break a tie.
That's why your calls of support are so important. Senators need to know that the grass-roots support Betsy DeVos.
Take action now!
Please call your Senator and urge him or her to vote to confirm Betsy DeVos for Secretary of Education (you can call the Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to their office).

Time for Trump to Release Full Details of the Iran Nuclear Deal
"Time for Trump to Release Full Details of the Iran Nuclear Deal" https://t.co/xAZaOoqEqL pic.twitter.com/fOqr77vh9W
— ARnews 1936 (@ARnews1936) February 5, 2017
Does anyone know what's really in the Iran nuclear deal with all its unpublished side agreements and secret verbal pledges?
Certainly not the American public, on whose behalf it was putatively negotiated. And probably not most, if not all, members of Congress who were bypassed in its negotiation and "signing" in a manner that doesn't seem remotely constitutional.
Despite the yeoman efforts of Jay Solomon, Omri Ceren and others, the full extent of the deal is still a mystery....
We also know that Iran has already broken at least one UN resolution...
But most importantly, are the Iranians also breaking the original nuclear deal? Well, we don't know because, as noted, we don't know what it is. Not only that, as many have reported and PJM's Michael Ledeen predicted quite some time ago, neither side has actually signed the deal in the first place. So it may not even exist. It's a tree growing unseen in the wilderness or, perhaps more accurately, one of those Hollywood-style "verbal agreements"—enforceable only when opportune. It's maximum plausible deniability all around....
Perhaps I'm missing something, but what reason could there be, at this point, not to release the so-called terms of this so-called deal—other than the embarrassment of the officials involved? America has a right to know what has been done in its behalf. Instead of BS transparency, we need real transparency. So do the citizens of many others countries that are in the crosshairs of the newly enriched (by us) Iran with its expansionist goals that have been brutally apparent since this imaginary signing in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and who knows where else.
The time is long since past for the complete details of this quondam deal to be released. I suspect they would be more than a little disturbing. Do it, Mr. President.

Trump Refugee Order Balances Security and Compassion
What Trump's Refugee Order Really Does https://t.co/cRwTOGJIaA via @JJCarafano @DailySignal
— Andrew Malcolm (@AHMalcolm) February 5, 2017
Read any commentary on the just signed executive order on visa and refugee vetting from several countries in the Middle East and odds are the assessment will tell you more about the writer’s politics than be an analysis of the order.
I confess: I have a perspective as well. Mine comes from working on the presidential team on both foreign policy and homeland security from after the Republican convention up to the inauguration. I can’t share the detailed workings of the team. But what I can share, having worked on the issues, is what I believe guided the work.
And it all started with making America safe.
Not campaign promises, anger at any religion, or prejudice of any kind impacted our thinking on the transition team. What we were worried about were future threats.
As the space for the Islamic State, or ISIS, gets squeezed in the Middle East, the remains of the tens of thousands of foreign fighters will have to flow somewhere. Every nation, not just the U.S., believes they are most likely to flow to the countries cited in the order. That fact, and only that fact, is why those countries are included on the list. Indeed, when it comes to visa vetting, that’s why the European Union has restrictions that are comparable to the United States.
The reason why we all worry is because, from those countries, foreign fighters could well try to flow to the West, principally by using visas or posing as refugees....

Bay Area Conservatives Keep Meetups Secret Fearing For Their Safety... https://t.co/YTrcLp6ruG
— DRUDGE REPORT (@DRUDGE_REPORT) February 5, 2017
Some East Bay conservatives say they live a secret life. They can never tell anyone what they really feel like in fear of their safety.
Robert Ward is coming out conservative, but in a place he says is risky for those who share his beliefs.
“If you witness what happened in Berkeley, actually they are so violent on top of it. I mean being a conservative in the Bay Area is like being a heretic,” says Ward. “You lead a double life. You can never tell your friends and co-workers.”
Robert says several Bay Area conservatives have secret meet ups like the one KPIX 5 was invited to visit in the East Bay.
Organizers asked not to disclose their location or the faces of anyone who attended, but insist this is the way it has to be in a liberal state.
“They seem to pride themselves on being diverse, and they are diverse about everything but their ideology,” says Ward. “I hope that in the future when people see Trump isn’t as scary as they think he is and a lot of the good things that happen and the prosperity comes back and the jobs come back, every one calms down a little bit.”
