Latest Email Drop Reveals Hillary Committed Perjury

What the Associated Press reported on Friday afternoon sounds like the “game over” moment Democrats have been fearing since the Clinton email scandal came to a boil:
The Obama administration has discovered a chain of emails that Hillary Rodham Clinton failed to turn over when she provided what she said was the full record of work-related correspondence as secretary of state, officials said Friday, adding to the growing questions related to the Democratic presidential front-runner’s unusual usage of a private email account and server while in government.

The messages were exchanged with retired Gen. David Petraeus when he headed the military’s U.S. Central Command, responsible for running the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They began before Clinton entered office and continued into her first days at the State Department. They largely pertained to personnel matters and don’t appear to deal with highly classified material, officials said, but their existence challenges Clinton’s claim that she has handed over the entirety of her work emails from the account.
Hillary Clinton didn’t just “claim” she turned over all of her work-related emails. She signed a sworn statement to that effect in August, under penalty of perjury, and submitted it to a federal court. It’s the same statement her top aides Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills refused to sign.

Many observers thought the proverbial Other Shoe would drop on Clinton when the FBI started recovering deleted emails from the server she thought was wiped clean, but it doesn’t sound like we’ve even gotten to that closet full of Other Shoes yet. The AP report says this previously undisclosed string of Clinton emails was “first discovered by the Defense Department and then passed to the State Department’s inspector general.”

Employers with fewer than 50 employees were promised a break by not having to provide group health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.

But now the IRS has served notice that under the rule that has been in effect since July 1 such employers are subject to $100 per worker per day excise tax if they help their employees with their health-care costs.

That could amount to a staggering $36,500 per worker annual tax.

“We were told over and over during the Obamacare discussions that if you had less than 50 employees there’s no requirement to provide coverage, so you don’t have to worry about any cost factor,” said Ron Aldridge, Mississippi director for the National Federation of Independent Businesses...

The Mississippi Insurance Department said: “The rule appears nowhere in the Affordable Care Act but was developed by the Obama administration’s regulation writers at the IRS.”

Report: John Boehner sudden announcement stuns Capitol Hill

Speaker John Boehner: My mission every day is to fight for a smaller, less costly, and more accountable government. Over the last five years, our majority has advanced conservative reforms that will help our children and their children. I am proud of what we have accomplished.

The first job of any Speaker is to protect this institution that we all love. It was my plan to only serve as Speaker until the end of last year, but I stayed on to provide continuity to the Republican Conference and the House. It is my view, however, that prolonged leadership turmoil would do irreparable damage to the institution. To that end, I will resign the Speakership and my seat in Congress on October 30.

Today, my heart is full with gratitude for my family, my colleagues, and the people of Ohio’s Eighth District. God bless this great country that has given me - the son of a bar owner from Cincinnati - the chance to serve.

The only response Republicans should give to the Obama/Muslim question is to quote Hillary Clinton verbatim

Yes, Hillary’s 2008 Campaign Went Hard on Obama’s Muslim Ties - Larry Johnson/No Quarter

I know firsthand, and can testify under oath, that Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign was hot and heavy on the issue of Barack Obama’s muslim heritage. How do I know? Because I was a conduit for information from Sidney Blumenthal, a Hillary Clinton confidant. I was not an official part of the campaign. I was not on the staff. But I was a supporter and I have no regrets for trying to help Hillary defeat Barack Obama. I did not knowingly make up or manufacture anything about Barack Obama. Just tried to get the facts out.

The only real controversy that still dogs me from that period is the “Whitey Tape.” That episode came courtesy of Media Matters’ David Brock. It was fed to me by Sid....

I am really bothered now by Hillary’s faux outrage over the comments of Ben Carson, who would not back a Muslim advocate of Sharia law for President (who the hell would), and Donald Trump, scorned for not correcting a crazy questioner at a public gathering who insisted Obama is a muslim (he is not). She absolutely knew that several of us, with Sid Blumenthal in the lead, were trying to tell folks about the real Barack Obama. Here we are 8 years later and I can say, with a clear conscience, I told you so.

One more thing, I am sad to see Hillary fail to live up to her potential. She has lied about her email server and, more importantly for me, failed to do her job as Secretary of State to protect U.S. personnel in Benghazi, Libya and then worked frantically to cover up that failure. That one incident alone destroyed any confidence I once held that Hillary could be trusted with the job of President.

2016 presidential debate schedule revealed:

Three presidential and one vice presidential debate will be held for the 2016 general election next fall, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced Wednesday.

The first presidential debate of 2016 will be held Sept. 26 at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

The sole vice presidential debate will be held the following week, Oct. 4, at Longwood University in Farmville, Va.

Two more presidential debates come later that month: Oct. 9 at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.; and Oct. 19 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

“There is nothing I can do for you one way or another. Things have been set in motion, and I can’t and won’t interfere. Your problems are, frankly, of your own making,” Obama said

Hillary Clinton allegedly shouted “call off your fucking dogs!” at President Barack Obama in regards to the investigation into the private email server she used while serving as Secretary of State, according to a new book by Edward Klein.

The New York Post reports that “Unlikeable: The Problem With Hillary” details how Clinton became enraged with Obama during a White House meeting that she requested to discuss what Clinton viewed as “minor, meaningless violations.”

Hillary Clinton: Come Clean Or Get Out

If the Democratic Party cares to salvage a sliver of moral authority, its leaders and early state voters need to send Hillary Rodham Clinton an urgent message: Come clean or get out. Stop lying and deflecting about how and why you stashed State Department email on a secret server—or stop running.

Tell her: We can’t have another day like this:

Story 1: The State Department confirmed that Clinton turned over her email only after Congress discovered that she had exclusively used a private email system. According to The Washington Post, the department first contacted her in the summer of 2014, at least three months before the agency asked Clinton and three of her predecessors to provide their emails.

The story undercuts Clinton’s claim that her decision to turn over self-selected email was a response to a route-sounding records request. She hasn’t been telling the truth.

Story 2: A federal court has helped uncover more emails related to the Benghazi raid that were withheld from congressional investigators. Clinton has insisted she turned over all her work-related email and complied with congressional subpoenas.

Again, she hasn’t been telling the truth.....

On Sunday, Clinton told Face the Nation host John Dickerson: “What I did was allowed. It was fully above board,” and “I tried to be fully transparent.” Both claims are objectively and indisputably false....

HERE’S WHY THE PROGRESSIVE LEFT KEEPS STICKING UP FOR PEDOPHILES

Today, Salon gave a platform to a self-confessed pedophile to explain his urges in sympathetic terms. “I’m a Pedophile, But Not A Monster” reads the headline. It’s a long, self-pitying screed that ends with a call to be “understanding and supportive” of adults who crave sexual intimacy with children.

Forgive me if I’m not first to start the standing ovation. In fact I’m pretty sure most people will find the existence on Salon’s website of this post both shocking and distasteful....

What’s happening here? Why are defences of pedophilia so rampant on the Left? And why are pedophiles so attracted to the progressive movement, as opposed to conservatism, libertarianism, or even anarcho-capitalism?

The most likely answer may be difficult for left-leaning readers to accept. For decades, moral relativism has underpinned radical left-wing thought. This is particularly clear when we look at how abuses in Muslim communities are treated. When the Conservative government in Canada labeled female genital mutilation and forced marriages as “barbaric cultural practices,” they were criticised by leading Canadian leftists.

See also: the breeziness with which feminists ignore abuses against women all across the Muslim world, and the timidity of gay rights campaigners to challenge Muslims on gay rights. Not Islamists, you understand, but mainstream Islamic society, in which simply being gay can get you killed in a dozen countries or more. Oh, and Rotherham, where moral relativism and the fear of being seen as “racist” got 1,200 white girls raped....

CA GOP Convention: United GOP wraps up Anaheim convention

California Republicans wrapped up their annual fall convention Sunday — optimistic and united.

The three-day convention in Anaheim marked the second consecutive convention where Republicans have avoided controversial internal fights and expanded its reach to groups traditionally excluded from the party.

Earlier this year, the state party officially chartered the Log Cabin Republicans, the first and largest organization representing gay conservatives. At this weekend’s convention, Republicans courted Latino voters by adopting new language for the state party’s platform on immigration.

HJTA: Beware the Temporary Tax. Special interests touted #Prop30 as temporary to get people used to tax hike before making it permanent

Governor Brown recently issued an executive order mandating extreme new energy cuts and plans to fund the program with tens of billions in cap and trade taxes. A lawsuit is currently challenging the plan on the grounds that these costly taxes are illegal under Prop. 13.

Last week, the California Legislature resoundingly rejected Governor’s Brown’s efforts to cut carbon dioxide emissions beyond the levels required by AB 32, which requires California to reduce emissions in the state to 1990 levels by 2020. The proposed new law, known oddly enough as SB 32, would have required substantial further reductions in state emissions to 80% below 1990 levels by 2050. That was more than even the Democrat-heavy California Assembly could stomach, and the bill was killed on the Assembly Floor.

Undaunted, Governor Brown declared that he would move forward without the legislation in requiring the 80% cuts. He cited his executive order of a few months ago as authority for requiring the drastic and economically hurtful emissions reductions of carbon dioxide, a ubiquitous, natural substance essential to life on this planet. Because carbon dioxide is everywhere and in everything, regulating that substance means regulating virtually every aspect of life. In pursuit of that goal in California, Brown has directed over a dozen state regulatory agencies, spearheaded by CARB, to regulate California’s economic life, including oil production, farming, transportation, construction, and water distribution. Not one aspect of California’s economy will be unaffected....

How Ahmed's clock became a false, convenient tale of racism

link

...The police overreacted. Yet the device did look like something Ethan Hunt would lob out of a helicopter at the last minute in “Mission: Impossible.” As National Review’s Charles Cooke pointed out on Twitter, the scary-looking tangle of wires “looks a lot more like a bomb than a pop tart looks like a gun.”

Josh Welch, a white Maryland kid with ADHD who was 7 years old when he was kicked out of school for chewing a Pop-Tart into the shape of a pistol and pretending to shoot other students with it, must be puzzled.

Where’s his White House invitation? Where’s his chance to start networking at Facebook? His parents were forced to hire a lawyer and spent a year and a half just trying to get the suspension erased from the kid’s record. They were repeatedly refused.

“I stand with Ahmed, too. But I also stand with Alex Stone,” noted Reason writer Robby Soave. Alex Stone, a 16-year-old white kid from Summerville, SC, wrote a short story in which he imagined using a gun to kill a dinosaur. For this his locker was searched and he was arrested, handcuffed, charged with “disorderly conduct” and suspended from school for three days.

Obviously the White House and Mark Zuckerberg couldn’t be bothered to comment, but you’d think that, at the very least, Stephen King would have sent out a tweet expressing outrage that imagination was being punished.
Nada....

Sunday Funnies:

"You would think that a groundbreaking TV show for women hosted by women would do its best every day to respect and uplift women."

Instead, ABC's "The View" -- originally created by veteran journalist Barbara Walters to represent women "of different backgrounds, different generations and different opinions" -- has devolved into an ear-splitting bickerfest of elite divas who scoff and sneer at those who do not enjoy their celebrity privilege or share their left-wing ideological values.

This week, the bratty, catty co-hosts' targets included the young women who competed for the Miss America title. Michelle Collins, a "comedian" who recently joined the show after establishing herself as a Tinseltown "gossip queen," savaged Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson. As the other anchors giggled out loud at Johnson's video clip, Collins mocked the Rocky Mountain beauty not for her looks or her politics, but for a lovely, earnest monologue she performed during the pageant's talent competition.

Wearing her hospital scrubs, sneakers and a stethoscope, the registered nurse recounted her conversations with a patient named Joe in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. When he requested changes in medications and treatments, Johnson explained to him that she couldn't because she was "just a nurse."
