David Axelrod, the architect of President Obama’s monumental victories in the United States, suffered a series of devastating losses in this week’s United Kingdom elections, after being paid nearly half of a million dollars to take on the role.
Axelrod, who in addition to his role in presidential campaigns helped two Democrat gubernatorial candidates secure their seats, was supposed to be the muscle that would finally take down Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron’s stronghold.
But the Democratic political consultant gave Labour leader Ed Miliband such a large loss that Miliband resigned the next day.
