Hector Garza keeps breaking the Admin's blockade on truth
Border agent Hector Garza has been incredibly candid and open in providing the alarming details at the border to the news media. In this interview with Uma Pemmaraju on Fox News, he says that 70% of border agents are pre-occupied with taking care of the illegal alien child surge, and drug cartels are taking advantage of the situation.

Jerry Brown's Crony Capitalism - Signs tax break bill for Tesla.
California is home to the most regulations and the highest tax and public debt burdens in America. It is also number one in the country in poverty. Those results go hand-in-hand and are courtesy of California’s big government mentality.
To attract jobs, ever so occasionally the Democrat run legislature and Governor Jerry Brown apply common sense, by selectively lowering costs for certain businesses. Tesla is the latest apple of their selective eye. The real question is: Why don’t they apply such common sense to the entire state economy and lift California from its troubles?

“You need look no further than your own administration for a major source of that frustration — politically driven suppression of news and information about federal agencies. We call on you to take a stand to stop the spin and let the sunshine in.”
Thirty-eight journalist groups under the umbrella of the Society of Professional Journalists have blasted the White House, claiming the tone set by President Obama has been less than forthcoming when it comes to providing information.
Specifically, they charged the administration with the “politically driven suppression of news,” Breitbart reported.
Israel is preparing to invade Gaza. The president has admitted that there is a “humanitarian crisis” on the southern border. The Internal Revenue Service’s Lois Lerner may have sought to hide documents from congressional investigators. VA whistleblowers testified that they were intimidated and targeted for retaliation by their superiors. And if all of that substantive news isn’t really your thing, LeBron James did something or other today, too.

Obama Administration Paying Locals $6,000 a Month to HOUSE ONE ILLEGAL MINOR
◼ Obama Administration is not only using tax dollars to advertise… but also using tax dollars to pay more than $6000 a month to house ILLEGALS—NOTE the Tax Free reference in the ad. - Gateway Pundit
◼ AD OFFERS MORE THAN $6000 PER MONTH TO HOUSE FOREIGN MINORS - Breitbart
An ad placed in the Penny Saver Newspaper in Murrieta, California is seeking "loving, compassionate parents to provide a loving home" for illegal immigrant minors, according to a local reader of the publication.
Cindy Lemos, another Murrieta resident, told Breitbart Texas that she called the number on the advertisement. She said, "I called this afternoon and the gentlemen I spoke to told me that they are receiving the illegal immigrants but that none of them are under the age of 12. I asked him where all the younger children were... he told me that he was wondering the exact same thing."
◼ And, back in January: Newly Revealed Contract Proves Obama Planned Border Invasion Doug Ross
Immigration: A federal employment ad posted in January showing that 65,000 unaccompanied minors will enter the U.S. illegally shows that the administration expected this cross-border child abuse and encouraged it.
Concrete evidence has shown up proving our earlier assertion: The breach of our border by waves of unaccompanied alien children was orchestrated by the administration based on a strategy straight out of the playbook President Obama studied as a community organizer. His goal is to get his way on immigration reform by overwhelming the U.S. Border Patrol and collapsing an already weakened system.
The evidence comes in the form a government contract solicited in January by the Department of Homeland Security. The listing asked for "Escort Services for Unaccompanied Alien Children" in expectation of the arrival of 65,000 minors on our southern border without their parents or guardians.
The operative language in the listing is the statement by DHS/Immigration and Customs Enforcement that they expect there "will be approximately 65,000" alien minors requiring assistance. This is a significant increase from the 5,000 minors who are detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement annually. It also strongly suggests not only advance knowledge of the human catastrophe about to unfold but a lack of any effort to stop it....
Paging Rose Mary Woods: Obama’s Unbelievable Missing IRS Emails
...Leading Democrats, not just in the White House, have been lulled into a false sense of security by what they see as the manic, knee-jerk criticism that dominates the right wing. Obama’s reputation for neglecting problems he sees as beneath him has been cast in an even more unflattering light by the varieties of dismissiveness on display in his party. Whether it’s Hillary Clinton’s trademark evasive laugh or Nancy Pelosi’s infamous incomprehension of the constitutional issues surrounding Obamacare, too many top Democrats are seen too often acting as if no reasonable opposition to their agenda can even exist.
This, more than any one scandal, is likely to hobble the party for the next few election cycles. It’s relatively easy to wave away a single scandal. It’s one of the hardest tricks in politics to wave away concerns that you wave away concerns too much.
The Truth About Iraq - And why it matters
Against this backdrop, as we debate what our response should be, it has become fashionable in some quarters to say, “Let’s not relitigate Iraq.” It’s not politically expedient, this line of argument goes, to discuss why we invaded Iraq in the first place, or the lessons we learned. This view is wrong on the history, misguided on the politics, and dangerous as a matter of policy....
TSA ALLOWING ILLEGALS ON PLANES WITHOUT ID
Illegal aliens are being allowed to fly on commercial airliners without valid identification, according to the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC). “The aliens who are getting released on their own recognizance are being allowed to board and travel commercial airliners by simply showing their Notice to Appear forms,” NBPC’s Local 2455 Spokesman, Hector Garza, told Breitbart Texas.
“This is not the CBP [Customs and Border Protection] or another federal agency renting or leasing an aircraft, these are the same planes that the American public uses for domestic travel,” said Garza.
“This just adds insult to injury. Not only are we releasing unknown illegal aliens onto American streets, but we are allowing them to travel commercially using paperwork that could easily be reproduced or manipulated on any home computer. The Notice to Appear form has no photo, anyone can make one and manipulate one. They do not have any security features, no watermark, nothing. They are simply printed on standard copy paper based on the information the illegal alien says is the truth.”
Spokesman Garza continued, “We do not know who these people are, we often have to solely rely on who they say they are, where they say they came from, and the history they say they have. We know nothing about most of them, ICE releases them into the American public, and now they are boarding aircraft at will with a simple paper document that anyone can easily alter or reproduce themselves.”
California’s Low On Water? Time to Fine the Water Resources Board Not Its Citizens
California is in the midst of one of its many droughts. To combat the current drought, the otherwise do-nothings of the California Water Resources Board are proposing to fine citizens they call “water hogs” $500 per day. Instead of fining helpless consumers, California’s government should do its job for once and seriously increase water supplies.
It is well known that California is the most populated state in the Union, with more than 38 million people. Its population was just under 20 million in 1970, when the bulk of its current water storage and delivery systems were already built. In other words, the California governments have done very little to significantly increase water supplies in over 40 years, even though its population has doubled during that period of time....
Rather than face the reality that California is subject to drought, what has California government been doing? Not much beyond talking.
As we all know, the President and others are selling the canard that the current drought is the result of global warming or climate change. The fact that we had decades- long droughts years before industrialization doesn’t matter to them as they bloviate over a drought of several years.
Simply stated, California government has other priorities – priorities which to them are far more important that ensuring that 38 million people have water. They include:
A High Speed Rail project, mired in lawsuits and of uncertain costs – at least $68 billion but perhaps double that amount, andCalifornia legislators spend millions more on nonessential items like $2.7 million for a new swimming pool in Calexico near the Mexican border – during a drought. California is also spending an additional $46.6 million to build up to 54 hydrogen fuel stations to serve a state of 158,648 square miles. That is one station for every 2,938 square miles. Hope you don’t get stranded.
A 2004 $3 billion stem cell bond program ($6 billion with interest) that has produced no approved therapies but has, according to the AP, resulted in “the opening of sleek buildings and gleaming labs at a dozen private and public universities built with matching funds” without any cures in the pipeline. Of course, now they want more money.
Rather than waste money on such projects, which can’t possibly be more important than water, California should look to places like Singapore to learn what a responsible government should be doing.

True the Vote Files Motion Against Mississippi GOP: Destruction of Absentee Documents, Double Voting & Discarded Legal Votes
On Thursday True the Vote, the nation’s largest voter integrity organization, filed a lawsuit against the Mississippi Republican Party for destruction of absentee ballot documents, double voting and discarded legal votes found statewide.
True the Vote reported:
True the Vote (TTV), the nation’s leading voters’ rights and election integrity organization, today filed a motion with the Jackson Division of the U.S. District Court, requesting temporary restraining order and injunctive relief be issued against the Mississippi Republican Party and all defendants to prevent further tampering, redaction, or destruction of voter records by Defendants or their agents.
“Defendant county commissioners have continued to violate federal law by preventing access to election records. Now, we think we know why,” said True the Vote founder, Catherine Engelbrecht. “If the affidavits we now have regarding the destruction of election documents and other similarly stunning findings are true, then no Mississippian, no American, can trust the results of this election.”
True the Vote will be providing the Court with dozens of full detailed affidavit reports, containing stunning evidence of election subversion, including:
** Destruction of voters’ absentee ballot applications and mandatory envelopes;
** Illegal alteration of poll books;
** Cross-over and double voting;
** Absentee ballots marked “Accepted” but unopened.
“Based on all we have seen — and all we have not been allowed to see — we now believe that unless the Court steps in, illegal voting will go unchallenged, voters’ rights will be diluted, voters’ trust will be violated – and an unlawful and inaccurate election may be certified by the State of Mississippi,” said Engelbrecht.
President Obama's buzzed on suds great adventure
Whew. Exhausting. Especially exhausting must be trying to change pace and pivot through the fundraising parties, knowing they’re thrown by those much maligned “fat cats” (Obama’s words, not mine).
The president conveniently disparages these fat cats in public, but in private their group hugs are a whole lot of cuddlin,’ purrin’ and rolling over for more tummy tickling from the one who feeds them. And it wasn’t hairballs any felines coughed up Tuesday just to hear Obama talk…and talk…and talk some more....
But, seriously, our commander-in-chief is busy, as Rome burns. For instance, after satisfying those munchies in Colorado, he carved out room for some super duper important games of pool in a bar with that state’s enabling governor. Ironically, Hickensooperdooper is his name. I think. Anyway, Obama won. He told us so. (Funny, he always wins. Golf, basketball, brackets and bets, his grand pronouncements afterward is always, miraculously, humph, he won again!)
Whew. Racking balls, getting buzzed on suds, maybe humming “Rocky Mountain High” while kicking it in those Rockies, hard choices had to be made – stripes or solids? And that beer – do I drink it if the mountains aren’t blue? Talk about miscues.
President Obama was in Texas next. No time to visit the porous U.S. border, but lots of time for more fancy talkin’, photo-opin’ and fundraisin’. No plugging holes this time down South.
Now, some of the above examples of frivolous, inefficient, über-partisan, distracting events that fill the president's busy days are not impeachable offenses. They’re just, well, offensive....
...when you next hear politicians denounce Barack Obama as a lawless imperial president with a destructively scandal-riddled administration, ask them what they’re going to do about it. Mark Levin asked precisely that on Fox’s “Hannity” Wednesday night, then answered it with rock solid remedies that are our only hope.
With all due respect, listen up, politicians; you’ve ignored your 7th grade American government lessons long enough.
I’ll repeat Levin’s gentle reminder that the Constitution provides the remedy for a president who commits “high crimes and misdemeanors.” If Senators aren’t ballsy enough to use their power of the purse to stop this nonsense, then they must hand the baton to the House and support our representatives in impeachment proceedings.
Stay tuned.

Conservative icon Sarah Palin wrote an op-ed for Breitbart in which she criticizes Obama?s stance on illegal immigration. She said: ?Without borders, there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America.? She went on to call for Obama?s impeachment, saying ?It?s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.

◼ The Crisis on the Border - Peggy Noonan/Wall St. Journal
No one who wants to help has authority, and no one with authority is helping....
All this gives normal people a feeling of besiegement and foreboding. Is a nation without borders a nation? Washington's leaders seem to recognize what's happening as a political problem, not a real problem. That is, they betray no honest alarm. They just sort of stand in clusters and say things.
There seem only two groups that view the situation with appropriate alarm.
One is the children themselves, dragged through deserts to be deposited here. To them, everything is a swirl of lights, color and clamor, and shouting and clanking. A reporter touring a detainment center in Texas noted a blank, lost look among some of the younger children. Every mother knows what that suggests. Children who cry and wail anticipate comfort: That's why they're crying, to alert those who care for them that something is wrong. But little children who are blank, withdrawn, who don't show or at some point know what they're feeling—those children are in trouble.
The other group feeling a proper alarm is normal Americans, who are seeing all this on TV and who judge they are witnessing a level of lawlessness that has terrible implications for the country....
America is the house that is both falling apart and under new stress. Those living within it, those most upset by what they're seeing, know America has big problems—unemployment, low workforce participation, a rickety physical infrastructure, an unsound culture, poor public education. And of course discord of all sorts—a lot of mad squirrels running around the attic. They know America can't pay its bills. They fear we're living on the fumes of greatness. They want us to be strong again. Watching our border collapse doesn't look like a harbinger of progress.
Here it must be said that those who live comfortable lives can afford to roll with the historical punches. But people who are not affluent live closer to the ground, and closer to the country's deterioration. The rougher America becomes, the more they feel the abrasion. They're not protected.
And they know no one wants to be in charge, wants to seize this thing and take responsibility. The mind-boggling fact is that everyone in charge more or less suggests they're powerless to do anything. And the children keep coming....

Capitol Update (Thursday, July 10, 2014)
- Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled (5-4) in favor of Hobby Lobby.
- Hobby Lobby is a closely-held private company. The evangelical owners of the Oklahoma-based craft chain claimed the contraceptive mandate in the Affordable Care Act (aka "Obamacare") violated their First Amendment right to religious freedom. The Supreme Court agreed.
- The case is about religious freedom, not contraception.
- The health care plan that Hobby Lobby provides its employees covers 16 of 20 types of contraceptives mandated under the Affordable Care Act.
- The four it does not cover are considered abortifacients (i.e., IUDs and the morning-after pill).
- Speaker of the House John Boehner remarked, "The mandate overturned today would have required for-profit companies to choose between violating their constitutionally-protected faith or paying crippling fines, which would have forced them to lay off employees or close their doors."
- Hobby Lobby employs 13,000 people.
- Hobby Lobby voluntarily pays its full-time employees at least $14 an hour - almost twice the federal minimum wage.
- The Hobby Lobby decision adds momentum for Republicans seeking to regain control of the Senate by highlighting the ongoing problems with the Affordable Care Act, which passed by the narrowest of margins on a partisan vote.
- Earlier the same week, the Supreme Court struck down another example of government overreach - unanimously determining that President Obama exceeded his authority by making "recess appointments" to the National Labor Relations Board during a brief Senate break

It’s Laughable How Much Cheaper It Would Be to Send Illegals Back Than Approve Obama’s $3.8 Billion
From his column in The Washington Times:
At the unofficial reported cost of $250 per person per day, President Barack Obama is proposing we spend $1.8 billion “to provide appropriate care for unaccompanied children.” That works out to 19,726 minors for a year.In fact, as Istook points out, repatriation of illegal aliens is the only legal solution to this crisis under federal law...
[...]
The $250 a day figure compares with the $667 one-way cost of an airline ticket from McAllen, Texas, to Guatemala City, Guatemala, according to both Orbitz and Priceline. The combined airfare for 29,358 passengers would be $19.6 million. That is one-half of 1 percent of President Obama’s overall $3.8 billion request.
Volume discounts and government rates would yield even lower fares. But even without discounts, sending everyone home right away saves taxpayers 99.5 percent!
It’s also closer to fly them from McAllen to Guatemala City than to Murietta, California. Only 1,297 miles compared to 1,549 miles. And no protesters.
◼ Have we really gotten to the point where the media is so desperate to protect this President that they're debating the "coach vs. first class" question while ignoring the fact that $14 million is way, way, way, way, waaaaaaaay less than $3.7 billion? - Herman Cain
On Tuesday, Tom Coburn (R-OK) went on CNN's Crossfire to discuss the Obama-orchestrated flood of illegals. The President wants $3.7 billion dollars to deal with the problem, but Coburn had a different solution. “For less than $20 million we can fly them all back - first class.”
The next day, Coburn made the claim again - but this time he said it would cost "under $20 million."
Well, the eagle-eyed fact checkers at the Politico weren't about to let such an egregious flip-flop go. No-siree-bob! They pounced with a story called "Coburn's tickets home just went up."
According to the worst website in the world, there's just no way Coburn could put every illegal in first class for the amount of money he was claiming. So he had to "revise his estimate." Busted!!
In a move almost as cowardly as President Obama's refusal to cancel a game of pool in order to visit the border crisis he created, "Coburn’s office did not respond to several requests for comment."
"What I've said to my team is 'get me out of Washington,'” the president told donors at the event.
Obama has a long list of grievances with Republicans who control the House of Representatives, who have blocked much of his second-term agenda. Problem No. 1 is the lawsuit that House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner is threatening to file over what Republicans feel is Obama's wanton use of executive orders to skirt around congressional inertia.
"You hear some of 'em, 'sue him, impeach him,'" Obama said, then added a sarcastic, "Really?"
"For what? You're going to sue me for doing my job? OK. I mean, think about that, you're going to use taxpayer money to sue me for doing my job, while you don't do your job?"
The crowd applauded.
"Sometimes I feel like saying to these guys, 'I’m the guy doing my job. You must be the other guy,'" he said....
Obama skitters, scampers and scuttles away from failure
Scuttle as much as the Constitution as you can, at least until you get called on it by 9-0 majorities in the Supreme Court, as the justices did on recess appointments, warrantless cellphone searches and $75,000 a day fines for disturbing supposed wetlands.
It’s not a very effective way to make public policy and it tends to put you in an embarrassing public posture. But that’s what happens when you start off believing you know all you need to know and that the world is endlessly enchanted with you.
Ted Cruz says Obama is more interested in seeing wealthy trial lawyers than ‘suffering’ immigrant children
Texas Senator Ted Cruz quickly took the president to task for his “theater” comment. In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday night, Cruz remarked, “You know, apparently, the theater he’s interested in is seeing the home movie theater of wealthy Texas trial lawyers, and he’s interested in getting checks from wealthy Texas trial lawyers, but he’s not interested in seeing the poor immigrant children who are suffering,”

Emails Point to IRS Officials Using Instant Messages
◼ Messages Weren't Routinely Archived, Adding to Lawmaker Concerns About Document Handling - Wall St. Journal
The latest emails suggest that IRS officials used a separate instant-messaging system whose contents also weren't preserved.
The emails raised new questions for some lawmakers about Ms. Lerner, the now-retired head of the IRS tax-exempt-organizations division who has become a focus of the inquiry. She wrote the emails to an IRS information technology official and the head of her division's audit unit.
"I was cautioning folks about email and how we have had several occasions where Congress has asked for emails and there has been an electronic search for responsive emailsso we need to be cautious about what we say in emails," Ms. Lerner wrote. "Someone asked if [instant messaging] conversations were also searchableI don't know, but told them I would get back to them. Do you know?"
"[Instant] messages are not set to automatically save as the standard; however the functionality exists within the software," the IRS official wrote back. "My general recommendation is to treat the conversation as if it could/is being saved somewhere, as it is possible for either party of the conversation to retain the information and have it turn up as part of an electronic search."
"Perfect," Ms. Lerner replied.
EPA claims it has the power to garnish wages without court approval
According to The Washington Times, the agency announced the plan to enhance its purview last week in a notice in the Federal Register. The notice claimed that federal law allows the EPA to "garnish non-Federal wages to collect delinquent non-tax debts owed the United States without first obtaining a court order."
The notice went on to say that the EPA had fast-tracked the new rule, enabling it to take effect September 2 unless the agency receives enough adverse public comments by August 1. The EPA said the rule was not subject to review because it was not a "significant regulatory action."
The EPA has claimed this new authority by citing the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, which gives all federal agencies the power to conduct administrative wage garnishment, provided that the agency allows for hearings at which debtors can challenge the amount or the terms of a repayment schedule....
The conservative Heritage Foundation claimed that the rule gives the EPA "unbridled discretion" over the process of challenging fines. David Addington, group vice president for research at Heritage, told the Times that the rule not only puts the burden of proof on the debtor, rather than the agency, but also allows the EPA to decide whether a debtor even gets a chance to present a defense before picking whomever it chooses to serve as a hearing officer.
The amount of money the EPA has collected in fines has increased steadily since President Obama took office. In 2012, the agency took in $252 million in fines, up from just $96 million in 2009.
◼ Here's the outrage du jour: the EPA claims it can garnish your wages without a court order. Didn't Americans once have a revolution against taxes imposed without our consent? - Allen West
In essence, the EPA believes it can levy a fine — a tax — against an American as part of its own “behavior modification.”
It occurs to me that Americans have had to contend with such actions before. As a mater of fact, it was addressed in a list of grievances by a fellow named Thomas Jefferson in a document called the Declaration of Independence.
About half-way through his list of grievances, Jefferson wrote about the King of Great Britain that, “He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent out hither Swarms of Officers to harass our People, and eat out their Substance.” As well as “imposing Taxes on us without our Consent.”
The U.S. Constitution gives Americans the right to “petition their government for redress of grievances.” So how have we come to a point where the EPA can just write a punitive rule against our citizens?
Fox reports “the EPA had fast-tracked the new rule, enabling it to take effect September 2 unless the agency receives enough adverse public comments by August 1. The EPA said the rule was not subject to review because it was not a “significant regulatory action.” The EPA has claimed this new authority by citing the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, which gives all federal agencies the power to conduct administrative wage garnishment, provided that the agency allows for hearings at which debtors can challenge the amount or the terms of a repayment schedule.”

GOP: Lerner warned IRS employees to hide information from Congress
“I was cautioning folks about email and how we have had several occasions where Congress ask asked for emails and there has been an electronic search for responsive emails — so we need to be cautious about what we say in emails,” Ms. Lerner wrote in an April 9, 2013, message.
...The email was turned over to the House oversight committee last week, more than a year after lawmakers sought it as part of their investigation into the IRS targeting.
Republicans said the email shows Ms. Lerner was aware Congress was probing the agency and that she was preparing to intentionally hide agency discussions from lawmakers.
Ms. Lerner’s emails have become a major scandal in and of themselves after the IRS revealed that her computer hard drive crashed in 2011, causing the agency to lose thousands of her messages.

“When I saw that, it just really floored me,” said Representative Henry Cuellar of Texas, who has been quite vocal in his criticism of the administration’s handling of the issue. “If he’s saying he’s too busy to go down to the border, but you have time to drink a beer, play pool, the optics and the appearance just mean he’s not paying attention to this humanitarian crisis.”
"He's so close to the border. And let me say this: when I saw, and I hate to use the word bizarre, but under the circumstances, when he is shown playing pool in Colorado, drinking a beer, and he can't even go 242 miles to the Texas border, and plus, if he doesn't want to go down to the border, there's the Air Force Base where HHS is holding some of the young kids from the border. He could at least make that trip to San Antonio, but again, border community leaders wants to see him down there on the border, and I think the optics and the substance of it is that he should show up at the border," said Cuellar.◼ MSNBC: Why Was Obama Shooting Pool and Drinking Beer? - Washington Free Beacon

John Hickenlooper....◼ White House warns: Stop criticizing... - National Review
Minutes later, Mitchell invited Cecilia Muñoz, director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, on her program to defend the president. It was brutal.
“With all due respect, the reality on the ground is that the administration did not stay ahead of this,” Mitchell observed. “The impression – the reality is – that the White House has been slow to react.” She noted that “optics” is a stand-in phrase synonymous with leadership, and implied that Obama had declined to display any.
“Leadership does involve showing the concern,” Mitchell later added after playing a portion of Cuellar’s veritable denunciation of Obama.
“So far, the politics aren’t working and the substance isn’t working,” she concluded. “Somebody’s got to revisit this.”

We taxpayers are expected to house, feed, clothe and care for almost 30,000 illegal aliens for a full year, according to the White House’s official request. That’s a small city.◼ Ted Cruz Sends Map With Directions From Fundraisers To Border Towns... - CBS Houston
Instead, we could fly all of them home for one-half of 1 percent of the $3.8 billion that President Obama proposes we spend. That’s a savings of 99.5 percent!
...Most of his proposal is to pay living expenses. At the unofficial reported cost of $250 per person per day, President Barack Obama is proposing we spend $1.8 billion “to provide appropriate care for unaccompanied children.” That works out to 19,726 minors for a year. (The official term for them, written into federal statute, is “undocumented alien children.” Not undocumented immigrants, migrants or refugees. Those other terms are efforts at propaganda.)
In addition, Obama wants another $879 million “for detention and removal of apprehended undocumented adults traveling with children,” and “alternatives to detention programs” for these adults. He blends “removal” with “detention” to make it impossible to determine how many removals are planned.
If the money is all for detention, then the $250 per person reveals the plan is to house 9,632 adults for a year at taxpayers’ expense.
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has joined Texas Gov. Rick Perry in calling on President Barack Obama to visit the Mexican border personally, with Cruz sending Obama actual directions to the border from the president’s planned fundraiser stops in Austin and Dallas.
Cruz took to Twitter to invite Obama to take a look at the border itself amid a growing immigration crisis along the southern border with Mexico.
“If President Obama wants to have a real border meeting with @GovernorPerry, here are a couple suggested detours,” Cruz tweeted on Tuesday....
The maps show driving routes from Austin to the border town of Laredo (235 miles, 3 hours) and Dallas to border town McAllen (506 miles, 7 hours and 29 minutes).
Perry also took to Twitter last week to invite President Obama to the border.
“@BarackObama: While in TX next week, I invite you to tour the border with me to see firsthand what is happening there. CC: @WhiteHouse,” tweeted Perry.
Megyn Kelly Takes on Former NOW President Over Attack on Little Sisters of the Poor
◼ In case you missed it earlier this week, the National Organization for Women [NOW] put the Little Sisters of the Poor on their "Dirty 100" list. - Katie Pavlich/Townhall
The bottom line is NOW isn't interested in defending the rights of women, they're interested in defending big government policies. Last time I checked nuns were women too, but for some reason the National Organization for Women isn't interested in defending their right to freedom of religion, but is interested in defining women by the pills they take. It's a shame NOW supports the heavy hand of government forcing women to do things that are against their beliefs.

Costco’s Removal Of Dinesh D’Souza’s ‘America’ Proves To Be A Massive Backfire As It Soars to the Top
◼ Talk about karma. Costco, a discount chain co-founded by a major Democratic donor, faced the wrath of the almighty dollar after stripping its shelves of Dinesh D’Souza’s bestselling book America: Imagine The World Without Her. - IJ Review
According to Newsbusters, after Costco announced that it was dropping D’Souza’s work, the book soared to #1 on Amazon.com. Book reviewers on the web site made clear their opinion of the retail giant....
Caving to consumer ire, Costco has announced that it will be restocking the book immediately, according to Fox News’ Megyn Kelly. Liberal intolerance – meet ticked off Americans.
◼ ‘We Have Made the Decision to Reorder the Book’: Costco Reverses Decision to Remove ‘America’ Book From Stores - The Blaze
◼ 'Clearly Political': D’Souza Reacts After Book Is Pulled Off Costco Shelves - FOX
Now, the Costco CFO said the book will return to shelves and denied that the books were pulled for political reasons, instead blaming lackluster book sales. “America,” however, is number one on Amazon and on track to become a bestseller.
..."This is clearly a political decision that they made. I think it's because of their alliance with the Obama administration and now they're feeling the heat so they're trying to figure out how to wriggle out of it," he said.
Hannity then laid out examples of Costco getting high praise from President Obama, along with the company's former CEO donating $100,000 to the Obama campaign in 2012. Costco employee donations to the Obama campaign totaled more than $200,000 for 2008 and 2012 combined.
D'Souza says those political leanings shouldn't result in Costco changing how it does business, arguing their customers are from all over the political spectrum.
"The left in this country has so much intolerance that they not only try to go after me through the courts, but they also figure out: let's try to ruin this guy's livelihood, let's try to make sure people don't see his film, let's try to make sure they don't buy his books. And the left is willing to wage that kind of a scorched-earth campaign through a company like Costco," he said.

Renowned Climatologist/Supermodel Tyra Banks Tells Us Why Women Won’t Be Sexy Like Her In The Future
◼ According to supermodel Tyra Banks, most women’s bodies won’t be very sexy in the future. The reason? Wait for it…global warming. - IJ Review
Yes, in a Wall Street Journal op-ed, Tyra dropped the bombshell – along with nine other predictions. But, it’s number 3 that has the world’s women (and men) in a collective gasp:
Global warming will threaten our crops so natural food will be scarce. Hourglass, curvy bodies will be the aspirational beauty standard, representing that those women have access to bounties of fulfilling yet healthy food, which means they are affluent.
Why Teenagers Today May Grow Up Conservative
...Some political analysts believe that teenagers are already showing less allegiance to the Democratic Party than Americans in their 20s, based on recent polling data. My own sense is that their argument rests on small, noisy sample sizes, and Mr. Taylor, of Pew, is also skeptical. The larger point, however, remains: The Democrats face challenges with today’s teenagers that they did not face with today’s 25- or 30-year-olds....
Well-connected rookie judge to preside over Khattala Benghazi trial
Just three months into his tenure on the federal bench, and before his formal investiture ceremony later this week, newly minted U.S. District Judge Christopher “Casey” Cooper has been handed one of the most high-profile and politically sensitive American terrorism cases in recent years.◼ D.C. Whispers: MUST KNOW Information Regarding Pending Khattala Trial - Ulsterman
Cooper, who was confirmed by the Senate in March, has been randomly assigned by the court’s selection system to preside over the U.S. government’s case against Ahmed Abu Khattala, a suspected ringleader in the deadly attack on U.S. outposts in Benghazi, Libya.
...Khattala had been residing in Libya in plain sight since the 2012 Benghazi Massacare, even granting interviews to the media. The Obama administration appeared unwilling, or disinterested, in placing him into custody.
That is, UNTIL Congress moved forward with the Trey Gowdy led select committee into Benghazi. Suddenly, the administration was pushing the media to cover the story that Khattala had been captured and was on his way back to the United States to face trial in a public court – treating the Benghazi Massacre as a criminal act, not a military one, thus ensuring the military would not control the trial, but rather the Obama Justice Department would....
Cooper was confirmed in March of 2014. Just two months later, the Obama White House declares that Ahmed Abu Khattala has been captured and will be facing trial in New York.
Judge Christopher Cooper has been selected to preside over the Khattala trial.
Now...Check out this blurb buried within a Washington Post story on the upcoming Khattala trial published yesterday:
Cooper, 47, was part of the Obama administration’s transition team and is one of the more connected people in D.C. legal circles. His wife, Amy Jeffress, is a former national security adviser to Attorney General Eric Holder.
…As an undergraduate at Yale, Cooper’s roommate and close friend was John Rice, brother of President Obama’s National Security Adviser Susan Rice.
Flashback, Obama Mocks GOP on Border Security: ‘They’ll Want a Moat’ and ‘Alligators in the Moat’
◼ “So, here’s the point,” said Obama, speaking outside to a crowd in El Paso. “I want everybody to listen carefully to this. We have gone above and beyond what was requested by the very Republicans who said they supported broader reform as long as we got serious about enforcement. All the stuff they asked for, we’ve done.”
He continued, “You know, they said we needed to triple the Border Patrol. Or now they’re going to say we need to quadruple the Border Patrol. Or they’ll want a higher fence. Maybe they’ll need a moat. (Laughter.) Maybe they want alligators in the moat. (Laughter.) They’ll never be satisfied. And I understand that. That’s politics.”
“But the truth is the measures we’ve put in place are getting results. Over the past two and a half years, we’ve seized 31 percent more drugs, 75 percent more currency, 64 percent more weapons than ever before,” he said. “And even as we have stepped up patrols, apprehensions along the border have been cut by nearly 40 percent from two years ago. That means far fewer people are attempting to cross the border illegally.”
According to the Department of Homeland Security, more than 181,000 illegal immigrants have crossed the Rio Grande Valley Sector of the U.S.-Mexico border since October 2013. More than 52,000 of these were unaccompanied minors, a 99 percent increase from the same time period in fiscal year 2013.

Obama Seeks 3.7 BILLION DOLLARS to Meet Surge of Kids Crossing Border
Obama’s request is nearly double the amount he originally signaled last week. Most of the money in his request, made public today, would be used for detention facilities to hold the children and other border crossers from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras....
Notably, Obama did not ask Congress to change a 2008 law — passed unanimously and signed by President George W. Bush — that requires unaccompanied children from Central America to be provided housing, united with relatives, and scheduled for a hearing in immigration court.
Obama had indicated last week that he would seek to revise the law, the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act, to allow for accelerated deportations of children from Central America — as can be done with those who cross into the U.S. from Canada or Mexico.
Seven horrific examples of the real 'war on women'
1. Malala Yousufzai, shot in the head by the Taliban for promoting education for women
2. Fakhra Younus, attacked with acid after leaving her abusive husband
◼ There is a war on women, but it's not in America. Women in such areas — mostly, though not only, in the Middle East — are not simply second-class citizens; they are mere property, to be used, abused and disposed of in whatever manner their owners — fathers, husbands, brothers — choose.

COSTCO REMOVING D'SOUZA'S 'AMERICA' FROM SHELVES
The book, in this midterm election year, is a strong rebuttal of the progressive ideology behind President Obama’s policies, which have been supported by Costco co-founder and director Jim Sinegal, a major Democrat donor and a speaker at the 2012 Democratic National Convention that nominated the president. A Washington Post political reporter has noted Obama’s “romance” with the nation’s second-largest retailer.
At Amazon.com, D’Souza’s book, released June 2, is ranked No. 5 overall and No. 1 in Political Commentary and Opinion.
Costco has sold more than 3,600 copies of “America” nationwide, with about 700 copies sold last week as D’Souza’s film by the same name opened at more than 1,000 movie theaters nationwide.
But Costco’s book department issued the “pull-order,” requiring all Costco stores nationwide to remove the book, confirmed Scott Losse, an inventory control specialist in the book department at the Costco Wholesale corporate office in Issaquah, Washington, a suburb of Seattle....

Sen. Graham: Cut Off Aid to Countries That Don't Keep Their Illegal Kids Out of the US
“About a third of the little girls are raped in the process of getting here. It's a humanitarian problem, but it's apart from immigration reform. This is a specific problem created by an impression that if you get to America, you can stay. We have got to turn that impression around, send these children back to their homeland and tell countries in question if you don't keep them and take care of them, we're going to cut all aid off,” Graham said.

◼ Texas Gov. Rick Perry Rebuffs Handshake with Obama on His Fundraising Visit, Has a Much Better Offer - IJ Review
Texas Governor and potential presidential aspirant Rick Perry (R) has said “thanks, but no thanks” to an offer to meet President Obama when he arrives at the Austin airport on Wednesday.
It is common practice for a state’s governor to meet the U.S. president at the airport, as a welcoming gesture. But Perry said in a letter to the White House that a brief greeting on the tarmac wasn’t going to be good enough, according to a report by the Austin American-Statesman.
I appreciate the offer to greet you at Austin-Bergstrom Airport, but a quick handshake on the tarmac will not allow for a thoughtful discussion regarding the humanitarian and national security crises enveloping the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas.Obama has taken heat for his planned trip to Texas, during which he has fundraisers planned, but no scheduled visits to the border, according to Politico. The White House has downplayed the criticism, saying that the President is not concerned with the “optics” of the visit.
I would instead offer to meet with you at any time during your visit to Texas for a substantive meeting to discuss this critical issue. With the appropriate notice, I am willing to change my schedule to facilitate this request.

On Tuesday, an initial group of the same size arrived in San Diego and were driven to Murrieta, where crowds of angry protesters blocked their entrance to a USBP facility, prompting authorities to take them instead to San Ysidro.
“We’re a very small town. It’s a bedroom community of about 106,000 and the air is clean and the people are beautiful… As far as we know, Murrieta is still a destination point. So we have every reason to expect more buses to arrive in Murrieta. Border patrol and Homeland Security has not answered any of those questions. We just anticipate more coming. Border patrol… At the national and the Department of Homeland Security, we have yet to hear from them with a short term and long term plan. So we’re really in the dark.”◼ SOURCE: FEDS TO BRING IN RIOT SQUAD AGAINST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION PROTESTERS - Breitbart
As illegal immigrants continue to spill across the U.S.-Mexico border, federal authorities are attempting to relocate the migrants from South Texas to housing facilities in states across the nation. One such facility is located in Murrieta, California, where a large group of protesters recently blocked a bus full of migrants from arriving. The protesters remain there, adamant that illegal immigrants don't get dumped in their town. But soon the concerned citizens may be forced to step down--Breitbart Texas has learned that federal agents plan to arrive in Murrieta on Monday with riot gear to ensure that another busload makes it to the housing facility.◼ Showdown 'might get ugly' - Breitbart Texas
Henry expressed frustration at the fact that the illegal immigrants are being "rewarded" for breaking the law--after illegally crossing the border, they receive a slew of taxpayer subsidized benefits like housing, food, education, vocational training, and legal counsel. Most are then released onto U.S. soil.
When U.S. citizens break the law, on the other hand, they pay the price. "If any one of us were to roll through a stop sign, we'd be pulled over and ticketed," Henry noted.
On June 4th Breitbart Texas' Managing Director Brandon Darby broke the news that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) would be relocating illegal immigrants from Texas to California. Within moments of that story being published, the official Twitter account of the San Diego CBP tweeted at Darby, insisting the report was “erroneous” and asking for it to be removed from the internet.
Days later the San Diego CBP deleted the tweet from their official account. Subsequent reports, outlining plans to fly immigrants to Southern California, proved CBP had indeed planned the relocation all along.
It is unclear how the border crisis will be handled moving forward, especially given that many U.S. citizens oppose the migrants being shipped by the hundreds to their communities.
On Sunday Breitbart Texas broke the news that federal agents accompanying the bus will have riot gear and shields, in order to push back the crowd. Despite this, the protesters have no intentions of backing down--rather, the group is preparing for a showdown that one resident told Breitbart Texas "might get ugly."◼ LA RAZA MILITANTS ARRIVE; MEXICAN FLAG-WEARING LA RAZA MILITANTS ARRIVE IN MURRIETA - Infowars

There’s also the fact that Obama could see a little of himself in Warren. Both were law professors at fancypants law schools. Both would have had very little political experience before they ran for president. Also, like Obama, Warren is expected to invigorate progressives and idealists in the Democratic Party

Obama has authorized his chief political adviser, Valerie Jarrett, to conduct a full-court press to convince Warren to throw her hat into the ring.
In the past several weeks, Jarrett has held a series of secret meetings with Warren. During these meetings, Jarrett has explained to Warren that Obama is worried that if Hillary succeeds him in the White House, she will undo many of his policies.
He believes that the populist Warren is the best person to convince the party faithful that Hillary is out of touch with poor Americans and the middle class. Warren, in his view, would carry on the Obama legacy after he leaves the White House.
