How and Why The Media Got It So Wrong – The Zimmerman Case – Packaged and Sold By Ryan Julison, Benjamin Crump, Natalie Jackson

The search for truth brings us to where we are today. Again, it bears repeating Nothing substantial ever changed regarding factual evidence against George Zimmerman. Not since the original Sanford Police Department delivered their initial findings on March 5th, 2012. - The Conservative Treehouse

On Tuesday February 28th after meeting with lead detective Serino, Tracy Martin contacted Benjamin Crump, from the law firm Parks and Crump. In turn Crump hired Sanford attorney Natalie Jackson. Subsequently by Monday March 5th, two days after Trayvon was laid to rest, a specific and intentional strategy to manufacture “media evidence” was created by Benjamin Crump and Natalie Jackson. That outline was then presented and sold by the hired Publicist Ryan Julison.

They began a systematic campaign of optical control.

First, they created the outline of their victim “Trayvon Martin”. The goal in this phase was to portray a personality, and to construct a public image of Trayvon Martin to sell to the media. They needed to create the “hook” for interest. The construct itself need not be real, or even accurate; Indeed the outcome was far from the truth, it just needed to be the most marketable for the purpose of “brand imagery”.

They even went so far as to Trademark the Brand they were creating. Control was the key element, as they set about their sales pitches and storyline(s). Everything stemming after that March 5th, 2012 date was an outcome of their intentional desire to control the narrative and formulate the construct of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman.

Another Race-based Show Trial Turns Into Farce - Clarice Feldman/American Thinker

The Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman case has come to trial this week and the best thing that's been said about it is from Thomas Maguire: "I'm proud to say I live in a country where the show trials look more like an SNL [Saturday Night Live] skit."

You probably won't know that if your source of information about the trial is the mainstream media and if your lifestyle doesn't permit you to sit in front of the TV for hours watching the trial. Instead, go to Legal Insurrection, a blog site run by Clinical Law Professor William A. Jacobson, where a defense counsel, Andrew Branca, has been summarizing the trial day by day with video snippets to illustrate his points, or Talk Left where Jeralyn Merritt , a noted defense counsel, has been dissecting this nothingburger of a case.

As the Friday hearing drew to a close, Branca reported the effective end of the prosecution's misbegotten case...

To date, the prosecution has put on a number of witnesses who also confirm Zimmerman's account of events. There's not one shred of evidence that supports the prosecution's view of the case. "Taps" should have been the background music for the key prosecution witness "Dee Dee" whose real name turns out to be Rachel Jeantel. She was on the phone with Trayvon when the incident occurred and her letter to Trayvon's mother purportedly describing the events and her deposition by the Martin's attorney, Crump, form the heart of the prosecution's case. Her testimony was conceded to be false at several points and the remainder collapsed on cross-examination. Rick Ballard said in the middle of her testimony that he pictured the prosecution "laying back in a nice warm bath this evening, straight razor in hand, trying to remember the exact location of jugular veins and carotid arteries."

It turns out the letter the prosecution relied on was written by someone else, and while Jeantel signed it she cannot even read the cursive in which it was written. The Martins' counsel choreographed her account of the events and he misled the Court about the circumstances.

Once again, it was simply not a very good day at all for the prosecution. The primary State witnesses today were Rachel Jeantel, Jenna Lauer, and Selma Mora. The first had her credibility substantively destroyed, the second was powerfully–almost humiliatingly–co-opted by the defense, and the third provided testimony entirely consistent with the defense’s theory of lawful self-defense.

Trayvon Martin case: How Rachel Jeantel went from star witness to 'train wreck' - Patrik Jonsson/Christian Science Monitor

Thoughout the week the State has sought to minimize the apparent seriousness of Mr. Zimmerman’s injuries. These efforts reached an almost ludicrous stage during Friday afternoon’s re-cross of Lindzee Folgate, the physician’s assistant who examined Zimmerman the day after the shooting. - Andrew Branca/Le-gal In-sur-rec-tion

Mr. de la Rionda asked, as if he meant it, whether all people have perfectly round heads or wasn’t it true that a person can have a bumpy or raised area of their head as a normal state of affairs, and not solely as the result of traumatic injury.

Was he trying to suggest that the normal appearance of Mr. Zimmerman’s skull included contusions, abrasions, lacerations, and blood trails? It was more than a little bizarre.
