Unions shutdown school over right to work law in Michigan

A teachers union in Michigan has decided that the best way to educate their students is not to show up to work tomorrow. - Conn Carroll/Washington Examiner @conncarroll
The Taylor School District will be closed down Tuesday because of the high number of staff that have called in sick to apparently attend protests in Lansing.

Superintendent Diane Allen told Local 4 there isn’t enough teachers to cover classrooms, so the all schools will be closed for the day. She said she had heard from a principal about where the teachers were going.
The ‘sick’ teachers are heading to Lansing to protest a bill set to be signed into law Tuesday by Gov. Rick Snyder that would make Michigan a right to work state. If the legislation does become law, employees would no longer be forced to join a union if they did not want to....
