I hope that all members of Northern Division are receiving e-mails from the National Federation. Our President, Rae Chornenky, is sending out excellent and timely information about what is going on at the national level. This is an excellent means of staying informed and taking action.

Speaking of taking action. Speaker of the House John Boehner is starting to push for the Bush tax cuts to be extended now and not wait for the last minute battle in December. Many people do not know that if the Bush tax cuts are not extended, there will be a tremendous tax increase for everyone, not just the “rich.”

I strongly recommend that you contact your member of Congress, whether Republican or Democrat, and urge them to support the Speaker’s efforts. The Speaker and the Leadership in the House and the Senate need to hear from us and know that we are watching and support this agenda.
