Karen Brooks kicks off supervisorial campaign

...Those in attendance on Saturday included Uri Driscoll, a member of Arcata's Open Space and Agriculture Committee, and John Shelter, the former director of the now closed North Coast Resource Center.

Driscoll said he supports Brooks despite not having all the same political viewpoints

-- something he thinks speaks to her effectiveness as a problem solver.
”Karen is one to listen and find the common ground where we can start,” he said.

Shelter said he respected Brooks for her passion.
