The Vile Voice of Wendy Davis’ Supporters Ridiculing a Paraplegic

The Fort Worth office of Battleground Texas and Wendy Davis’s Fort Worth campaign office are common ground with each other. They share resources. Wendy Davis, last week, claimed she out raised Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott by including fundraising totals from Battleground Texas in her numbers.

She and Battleground Texas are the same. And that is according to Wendy Davis’s own campaign. Project Veritas went undercover and found Wendy Davis supports and Battleground Texas coordinators ridiculing and mocking Attorney General Abbott for being in a wheel chair.

Just the other day, Wendy Davis herself encouraged it by claiming Greg Abbott had never walked a day in her shoes. Abbott has been in a wheelchair for about thirty years. Now her supporters, volunteers, and surrogates are doing it too — mocking a man in a wheelchair because he cannot stand up.

Battleground Texas, the group of Davis supporters caught making the comments, naturally denied the video’s validity. Additionally, Davis issued a statement condemning the language used in the video. In an interview with Megyn Kelly, Abbott, who is the attorney general of Texas, responded to the ordeal:
Denigrating the disabled is unworthy of Texas….What Texans really look at is the depth of character. There’s a reason why I have been elected statewide in Texas five different times. That’s because Texans know I have the quality and depth of character to represent their families and their values.
When Kelly pressed Abbott about allegations that Davis’s entire “Stand With Wendy” campaign is misleading the people of Texas, he kept tight-lipped and maintained that it is up to voters to make that judgement.
