LEGISLATORS PROPOSE MORE THAN $11 BILLION IN TAXES AND FEES

◼ CalTax found:

• The 66 bills that increase taxes or fees that could be quantified rep- resent a total cost to taxpayers of more than $11.39 billion.
• Of the 66 bills, 39 were introduced by members of the Assembly, and 27 by members of the Senate.
• Of the 66 bills, 15 were introduced by legislators who were first elected in November 2012.
• The estimated revenue impact was not quantified for 14 bills.
