Jerry Brown's Hypocrisy on Compensation Packages
SACRAMENTO, CA – California Republican Party Chairman Tom Del Beccaro issued the following statement concerning Gov. Brown's letter to California State University trustees asking them to reconsider plans to give the new president of San Diego State a salary that would be $100,000 higher than his predecessor's:
"Governor Brown has reached the height of hypocrisy in his scolding of the CSU Board of Trustees, especially since he had no trouble giving his new Social Services Director a $1.25 million dollar contract despite overwhelming support for spending cuts and budget reform. If anyone has set an unaffordable pattern for public service compensation, it's Jerry Brown."
