With the demise of Anthony Weiner, doors open up for aspiring Democratic candidates from all five boroughs for the 2013 mayoral race. We’re already seeing two Borough Presidents – Scott Stringer (Manhattan) and Marty Markowitz (Brooklyn) – two citywide office holders – John Liu (Comptroller) and Bill de Blasio (Public Advocate) – and countless city council members considering such a campaign.
